Τα 200 κορυφαία πανεπιστήμια στον κόσμο σύμφωνα με τους The Τimes της Βρετανίας

Τον ετήσιο αξιολογικό πίνακα για το 2010 με τα 200 Πανεπιστήμια που, σύμφωνα με ορισμένα κριτήρια, θεωρούνται τα καλύτερα στον κόσμο, δημοσιοποίησε η βρετανική εφημερίδα Times.
Όπως και τα προηγούμενα χρόνια, τις περισσότερες θέσεις του πίνακα καταλαμβάνουν ανώτατα εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα των ΗΠΑ και της Ευρώπης, ενώ αξιοσημείωτη είναι πλέον η παρουσία εκπαιδευτικών ιδρυμάτων από την Ασία.
Στις πρώτες θέσεις του πίνακα φιγουράρουν το Πανεπιστήμιο του Harvard, τα Τεχνολογικά Ινστιτούτα της Καλιφόρνια και της Μασαχουσέτης, το Πανεπιστήμιο του Stanford, το Πανεπιστήμιο του Princeton και τα Πανεπιστήμια του Cambridge και της Οξφόρδης, ενώ δεν περιλαμβάνεται κανένα ελληνικό Πανεπιστήμιο.
Στην Ευρώπη πρώτη έρχεται η Βρετανία με 29 πανεπιστήμια και ακολουθούν η Γερμανία (14), η Ολλανδία (10), η Σουηδία (6), η Ελβετία (6), η Γαλλία (4), η Δανία (3), η Ιρλανδία (2), το Βέλγιο (2), η Ισπανία (2), η Αυστρία (2), η Τουρκία (2), η Φινλανδία (1) και η Νορβηγία (1).
Η αξιολόγηση έγινε με κριτήρια όπως η ποιότητα της εκπαίδευσης, ο αριθμός των δημοσιεύσεων και οι επιδόσεις στην έρευνα.
